We would like to bring to your attention an important update from the U.S. Embassy India regarding visa interview appointments.
Starting January 1, 2025, applicants can schedule their first nonimmigrant visa appointment at their preferred location. However, please take note of the following changes to the rescheduling process:
First Reschedule: If you need to reschedule your appointment for any reason, you may do so once without additional charges.
Second Reschedule or Missed Appointment: If you miss your appointment or need to reschedule a second time, you will be required to:
Book a new appointment.
Repay the application fee.
Given the long wait times for U.S. visa appointments, we strongly advise you to select a date that you can commit to attending.
These changes aim to streamline the process and ensure fairness for all applicants.
