Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and New Delhi – In observance of upcoming holidays, the American diplomatic missions in India will be closed on the following dates:

Thursday, May 23 – All American Consulates General in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi will be closed in observance of Buddha Pournima.

Monday, May 27 – These diplomatic missions will also be closed in observance of Memorial Day, a significant holiday in the United States honoring the men and women who have died in military service.

During these closures, all routine consular services including visa interviews, passport renewals, and other citizen services will be unavailable. Normal operations will resume on the next business day following each holiday.
