With immediate effect, as per the new procedure of the Finland Embassy, Sri Lankan passports where there are alterations of the name on the second page are not allowed. Embassy/VFS do approve passports where the name is written on the second page for the reason that the name is too long to be written on the first page of the passport. If there are name alterations in the visa or residence permit applicant’s passport, the Embassy/VFS is not authorized to receive the application before the applicant has applied and received a new passport with the correct name.
