Sri Lanka will allow free visa to tourist from seven countries including India, China, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia with immediate effect will until March 31, 2024.

Nationals from above mentioned countries still need to apply for Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before arriving in Sri Lanka subject to granting/issuing free of charge up to March 31, 2024.

Under this scheme tourists can stay up to 30 days within the visa validity and second entry is allowed within 30 days from the date of first entry.
